KATE'S DIARY - PART 5 (phrases with SET)

Dear Diary,

Great! Hana is going to take me to see her grandparents in Moravia tomorrow. Hana says that her grandparents used to live in Slovakia but soon after their marriage they sold their house there and set up home in a beautiful romantic Moravian village. Hana and I set up a meeting point for our journey tomorrow at the main coach station. We are going by bus. I have to take a taxi to get to the station because the main road here is closed (roadblocks have been set up almost everywhere as there are really deep holes in the road).

I don’t mind getting the taxi; at least it will set me down just in front of the station so I needn’t carry my bags far. Oh, it’s getting late. Time to set about my packing. I should take a warm sweater with me as well because it still gets cooler when the sun sets. And it’s very cool in the wine cellar too – we’re going to taste some wine there! I’m really looking forward to it! I must remember to set the alarm clock for 5 a.m. as we’re setting off on our journey early so we can get there before lunch. I’d better go and get ready…
